About The Project

$2500 needed to purchase items for their waste management business

$1000 invested by 4 people in the community

4 residents in the community of Paynesville would like to invest in a waste management business. Your investment will be used to purchase the tools needed such as rain booths, skip buckets, nose masks, hand gloves, shovels, wheel barrows, rakes and vests etc. This community project is very important because it addresses sanitation issues and will help keep their environment cleaner and safer. With a decrease in the amount of garbage , it will attract less rats and mosquitoes which harbor diseases. They will register their garbage collection company with the City of Paynesville. Your investment will help the cohort hire an attorney to help them prepare the article of incorporation and other paperwork needed to start that business. They hope to employ 5 people.

..."we did a survey and are convinced that it will be very successful" (in a much needed community project to keep their environment more sanitary) says Victoria one of the members

Paying it Forward

Backstory

Liberia's need for waste management should be of utmost importance. Keeping the environment free of garbage and trash contributes to the health of its citizens and towards environmental health. Waste collection then transfering to landfill sites will help keep the city more sanitary. The United Nations Environmental Program outlined a serious need for trained personnel in waste management in Liberia. Waste can cause and has caused serious diseases such as diarrhea, malaria, and skin irritations. Garbage attracts unwanted mice, rats and mosquitoes which harbors diseases.
