About The Project

$2,315.00 need to purchase necessary material to open a bakery

$500.00 provided by the owners of the future bakery

With your investment the “Bread for all” commercial bakery will allow the participants to be able to purchase the following items: (Project start date November 1, 2021)

  1. Bread machine $1,600 commercially built for high production
  2. Cement $120 for the building
  3. Zinc $140 for the building
  4. Planks $60 for the building
  5. Nails $45 for the building

Land was provided by the community dwellers for the bakery. TOT (trainers of trainers) are willing to provide training for the youth to teach them how to bake. The most important aspect of this community project is the advancement of their community as a whole. This project is led by brilliant women who have emerged as leaders in their community. This I believe is just the beginning. Their goal is broader, to advance gender equality, increase participation with the youth, increase training/increase skills for those in the community and the overall growth of their community. It is rich in thought and filled with dreams and hopes that will be fulfilled with your support.

Paying it Forward

These amazing women are everyday changemakers. who are starting this bakery and are emerging as leaders of their Community. They are collaborating to create an ecosystem, an environment to encourage individual/community growth, ultimately improving the lives of others.

Backstory

The entire Buchanan City is dependent on a single bread machine owned by a Ghanaian. This community-led project CII from Group #1 was contrived by 7 local women in Buchanan. What they noticed when the bread machine was broken was their community was “hungry” for bread. They would have to do without (at times driving to Monrovia 2 hrs away to purchase bread) until the bread machine was fixed which was a burden, because so many citizens got use to (enjoyed) eating bread for breakfast and felt it contributed to a more balanced diet.
