• LB0049 - Tetee sells oil, charcoal rice and a variety of other goods that she sees are in demand. She is a wonderful salesperson and a mother of 6 children. She seeks investment in order to finish her central business hub where she can continue selling goods on a centralized and wholesale effort. This expansion will help drive her ability to meet her high customer demand.

About The Project

$750 is the amount Tetee needs to open her business center.
$175 is the amount Tetee has personally pledged to invest toward her goal.

Tetee has already invested in materials for the walls of her shop. She has a strong customer base that will help her expand as the Covid lock down ends.  The investment raised would have a dual-pronged approach. First, Tetee will purchase cement, nails, and a door to finish the infrastructure of her shop. Secondly, Tetee plans to buy wholesale mineral water and rice making her shop the only place in her area where residents could purchase at cheaper prices. This increase in demand would increase her earnings.

Apart from her goals to expand her shop and plan to incorporate baked goods and a tye-dye shirt business in her projected future, Tetee plans to help other families and hire one other person in her shop.

Paying it Forward

Like many families, Tetee has been helping pay for school fees for other children and helped someone to pay their rent.  In May a youth in her area was having trouble.  Her parents were not able to even get slippers for her and so she gave them money to get slippers and other things they need.

Backstory

LB0049:  One afternoon back in 1998, Tetee's father, Pastor Joshua Barnard, invested $15,000 LRD ~ roughly $100 U.S. Dollars today ~ for her to show how entrepreneurial she could be. Tetee decided to sell homemade cookies and Karyan (a sweet and salty Liberian snack) around her community. She sold out on the very first day. After seeing success, she started her small petty business of goods by joining a communal susu - a group effort of saving and monetary rotating payouts. As demand for her business increased, Tetee wanted to double down her business efforts and create a more centralized selling hub.   With a knack for successful payouts on former vending initiatives, Tetee plans to use this new capital to capitalize on her ability to network and become the hub for highly demanded goods in her community. Additionally, Tetee's inseparable work ethic shines bright as she is mother to 3 children and guardian for 3 other children of her relatives and supports their schooling fees, food, and housing.
