• PV0001 - Cecelia is a wonderful seamstress, dress and fabric designer. Before the Coronavirus, with a small investment, she was able to increase her sales by 40%. When Covid hit, she was contracted to make masks and continues to do that. As the lockdown eases she plans to start to grow her business again by purchasing more materials and sewing machines.

About The Project

$980 USD is what is needed to purchase more sewing machines, fabric and dyes
$115 USD is what Cecelia and her family have saved and pledged to invest towards that goal.

Cecelia has a strong customer base and reputation for being a wonderful dress designer and tailor.  The picture shows some of her tie dying skills.  In response to the Covid crisis that has led to a lock down in Liberia, Cecelia was commissioned to produce masks for all the families in the CII project.  She in turn donated many of the masks.  Cecelia and her family also sells soap which will also help in the prevention campaign being launched by the CII families.

In March 2020, just before the lock down, CII invested $100 into her business and in less than a month her business income jumped 40% as she was able to purchase more materials.  As the lockdown eases she has the potential to double or triple her income, create several new jobs, train others in her trade and help her family pursue their businesses.

"The plan is to create a business plan and follow it to the letter, because doing so will create accountability with check and balance.  I will be effective and regular.  I am talented ... and have good business skills".  --- Cecilia's words

Paying it Forward

Cecelia was really helpful in making masks when the Coronavirus hit even donating some.  Before that she had given a friend in Maryland county money to start a business selling chickens and also helped a farmer near Buchanan.  She is committed to paying  your investment forward by helping others.
