About The Project

$800 needed to purchase craft materials
$205 contributed by Zeridah towards her project

With your investment Zerida and David can continue to buy materials and, most importantly, they can find a space to rent for their business. With more investment they would like to diverge from the craft business and grow and sell Irish potatoes and wheat.

Paying it Forward

The basket weaving business provides casual labor for others in the community. And as they begin their new farming venture more job opportunities will be created for the community.

Backstory

Zerida and David have a large family with 6 children in school - which equates to large school fees. Their goals are to continue to provide an education for their children and to build a house. Their oldest son contributes to the family income by working as a casual laborer in the community. Challenges are typical of families in this village, finding safe drinking water, getting good medical care, improving personal hygiene and diet and navigating poor road conditions.
