About The Project

Methodius buys maize and beans from his community, keeps it in his store and sells it when prices are good enough for him to make profits. He mostly sells to bigger produce dealers who transport the produce to bigger towns like Kampala or export the produce.

He wishes to increase his capital and so that he uses his own money to make his business more certain and predictable because sometimes those who give him money to buy for them delay to give it to him - sometimes he buys for others produce dealers at an agreed price and he gets profits


Paying it Forward

Methodius helps his friends and farmers with money when they have financial needs and they pay at a later time, in cash or they give him produce - maize or beans. 

Backstory

Methodius lives with his wife and their 3 children and other 3 relatives. His wife supports him to run the business and they also grow maize and beans for selling and for food
His main challenge has been lack of enough capital but he is happy that CII added him money.

He also believes that increased cooperation among groups and community members would improve his community
