About The Project
Maombi Gasagi is a farmer and a business woman who specializes in sorghum – she grows sorghum, buys it in markets and sells it in retail at her home and in markets. She mostly sells dry sorghum grains but also sells yeast that is made out of sorghum and used to ferment local drinks like Bushera and others. She says that there is always ready market for her product and what she only needs is to produce more.
She has experience in this business and is known for it in the community
Paying it Forward
Her sorghum business provides raw materials for making most local drinks like Bushera that are mostly consumed in local bars, restaurants and even homes.
She also says she would involve many of her friends in the chain of her business if it expanded which would enable the - her friends - to equally start businesses or get employed
