Paying it Forward

As her business grows she will be able to employ more people thus helping the other families of her village.

Backstory

She and her 5 brothers live with their mother in Nyagakenke Village. The family farm produces Irish potatoes and wheat. They raise sheep and sell the milk and animals from the flock. As Jovia’s business grows she will funnel it back into the family farm to help increase the potato production. Her family faces many of the same challenges as others in her community. She would like her family to live in a better house with a proper toilet facility and tanks for safe drinking water. She also wants the family to grow fruits that will contribute a better diet. Getting good medical care is often challenging due to the poor road network.
