About The Project

Grace Kyarisiima a owns a retail shop in Mahani 2, Kamwenge district and she has been working hard to grow it - when she received financial support from CII Project, she invested it into her shop and saved the other in saving groups which provide more money into her business when it's not doing well. She plans to expand her shop.

She hopes that will enable her to pay school fees for her children


Paying it Forward

Grace says that her project will benefit other community members because she has many friends with whom they help each other in social groups and her business expansion would directly and indirectly banefit them

Grace Kyarisiima lives with her 2 children and one relative in Mahani 2, Kamwenge district. Poverty has been a challenge to her family since she had no income generating projects and even when she started a business, her capital was limited. She thanks AVSI and CII Project for giving her more capital

Grace thinks that more cooperation among people in her community is needed
