• Invest in Self-help/resident driven projects rather than programs. All donations go entirely to the residents on the Mutuality Platform. The residents are leading their efforts. You can designate if you want your donation to go to projects in a particular African country, or to a specific type of community project such as the Fairground Community Hospital, the Bread for all project etc.  Look at the projects listed on this Mutuality Platform and invest directly to an individual venture or a broader collective project.  New projects and countries will continue to be added.

About The Project

Entrepreneurship is how 80% of the global society survive. Most are micro-ventures selling water, coal, food, etc. A small capital infusion allows the participant to forgo credit and buy wholesale, decreasing their expenses by up to 20%. The result of the the cash investment is that the participants then lower their prices, attracting more customers thus increasing their profit.

Paying it Forward

To date, thousands of other families have received assistance from participating families. Mutuality is the key. Anyone donating will get updates of any positive impacts and additional donations by others.  Watch the ripple effect that your investments catalyze.

Backstory

Globally, entrepreneurship is the backbone of the economy for those facing poverty. These families/participants also survive by helping one another.  Mutuality is an important component and these peer-driven change models accentuates that.  Participants/families participating in the Mutuality Platform are all committed to paying your investment forward by helping on average at least 3 other families.

Your donation is tax deductible in the USA.  You can donate here or send a check/wire transfer to the CII Africa fund, c/o Root Change.  4096 Piedmont Avenue #215, Oakland CA 94611
