About The Project

Rachel Uzamukunda rears goats that she bought from the investment given to her by CII project and savings accumulated in a saving group with her fellow CII families.  Rachel plans to expand her livestock farming and also use this to start another business. Besides goat rearing which Rachel is doing as her main business, she also sells food items from her home   


Paying it Forward

Rachel hopes to educate her children from her business and provide jobs to young people who will rear the goats. She also hopes to expand her business of selling food items and help her friends with knowledge or resources to start their own businesses

Backstory

Rachel is a 54-year-old single woman who lives with her 7 children, 6 of whom are in school. Rachel and her family are refugees from Congo and have lived in Uganda for 8 years
