About The Project

Quilno Kagumaho is passionate about his coffee farming project. He plans to improve his coffee farm by adding manure and mulching it. He believes that will significantly improve the yield of coffee and increase his income since there is high demand due to presence of coffee processing machines in his neighboring areas.

Quilno has other two businesses - fish farming and piggery - which are inter-dependent with coffee farming, and he believes these businesses will help him get part of the capital needed to improve coffee. When he received a $100 support from CII Project, he used it to expand piggery and saving in his saving group and he says all these will help his coffee project 


Paying it Forward

Quilno is confident that his businesses would create employment for casual laborers who would be employed in his projects, and it would improve his income and welfare of his family.

Quilno Kagumaho is a Ugandan resident of Mahani village in Kamwenge district. His main occupation is farming - coffee, piggery, and fish and he lives with his wife and their four children. His wife is a hairdresser who operates a salon but children are young and in school.

He likes his community because there is demand for his farming produce. Lack of electricity is the main challenge in his community
