About The Project

Paulinah is a farmer who rears cows at her home in Mahani 2, Kamwenge. She had two lactating cows but when she received the $100 from CII project, she added her own money and bought another cow. She plans to improve and expand this cattle rearing business by improving the breed of cows she has and providing timely drugs, vaccinations and supplementary feeds where necessary

She believes that would provide milk to her community and her home, earn her money from sale of milk and cows.

Paulinah shares with her neighbors by giving them milk or money when they are in need

Backstory

Paulinah lives with her 5 children and the eldest of them completed school and helps her to take care of the cows. They also plant crops like maize, beans, and bananas. She likes her community who because it has fertile soils and she has land for grazing her cows.

Her main challenge was lack of school fees but now she is able to pay for her children. 

Unemployment (her son completed senior four but haven't found any job) and poor roads are the main challenges, and she believes if her community members voted wisely during elections, they would get leaders who address their needs
