About The Project

Bahati Nsabimana is a skilled carpenter who makes wooden products like chair, tables, doors, windows, among others that he sells to his community members.

He runs the carpentry workshop from near his home in the trading centre.  He says the business helps him to meet his family needs and he plans to expand it so that he has more materials and tools to use since some customers ask for more specialized and sophisticated items that he can produce but currently doesn’t due to limited materials, tools, and labor force


Paying it Forward

Being a religiou leader, Bahati already supports many needy people who are members of church. He thinks that he would be able to share resources with them if his business expanded

Backstory

Bahati Nsabimana is a 43 year old man who lives with wife and five children in Rwamwanja where they are refugees from Congo. Nsabimana operates his carpentry workshop where he makes wooden products for sell.

He is also a religious leader - he is a pastor of a church in his community. He is proud that he has been able to start up an income generating activity because he was so poor
