About The Project

Lydia is passionate about keeping cows. When she received $100 from CII Project in Jan. 2022, she added about the equivalent of her own money and bought a cow/ a young bull and it has grown, and after about 7 months, its current value has doubled its cost price. She plans to expand this business by buying more one or two cows and take good care of them so that she can produce milk for sell. She believes that would increase her family's income 


Paying it Forward

Lydia believes expansion and improvement of her cattle rearing project would provide jobs to boys who drop out of school - she now rears her cows herself because they are few. She would also sell affordable milk to her community members

Backstory

Lydia lives with her husband and six children, four of whom are still in school. She says the support from CII Project has improved their life since they receive some money monthly and she has got new friends in the CII project group

She likes her community because it has fertile soils for agriculture but she iss concerned about the poor state of hospitals in her community which make it risky for pregranant and delivering mothers.
