  • Moses Kamukama is a farmer who rears pigs in Mahanai 2, Kamwenge district. He buys piglets and keeps them until they mature and he sells them. He plans to expand his project by expanding their shelter and buy more pigs, if he gets more resources.

About The Project

Moses Kamukama is passionate about his piggery project. When he received $100, he used it to buy two pigs and he is rearing them. He sells the pigs to people with pork joints in his trading centre and outside his community. He plans to buy more pigs and improve their feeding and that would improve his income and enable him to support his family and friends.


Paying it Forward

Moses says he has friends with whom they help each other, and he thinks expansion of his businesses would help his friends because they also help him

Moses Kamukama lives with his wife and five children and one relative in Mahani 2, Kamwenge district. His wife is a farmer who grows maize and beans for food, but they sell the surplus. His main challenge has been lack of enough land for his projects. 

He is thankful for the financial support from CII Project, and he thinks people in his community should improve cooperation.
