About The Project

Joseph Dukuze and his wife have been keeping bees for honey and they have acquire good experience in doing it. When they received the an investment from CII Project, they invested in selling food items to further diversify their economic activities. 
They now plan to expand their bee keeping business by having more bee hives and they hope to harvest more honey for sale


Paying it Forward

Joseph works with a layer of multiple people at different layers in his businesses such as boda-bodas that provide transport and that an expansion his bee keeping or other business benefits many others

Backstory

Joseph Dukuze lives with his wife and their 9 children, all of whom are in school. They live in Rwamwanja refugee settlement for 10 years as refugees from Congo. Joseph belonged to a group of bee keepers in his community and later established his own bee hives.

He appreciates that presence of security in Rwamwanja and says it's a better place for business. His family experienced a challenge of poor shelter and food insecurity and poor nutrition but he is now proud that he lives in a better house and can effectively feed his family
