About The Project

Ivan Asiimwe rears goats rears goats from his home in Mahani, Kamwenge. He has good experience in rearing goats because he even buys and sells them. His challenge has been lack of capital to rear more goats but when he received $100 from CII Project, he invested it in buying more goats. He plans to expand the business by stocking more goats for rearing and selling when they multiply, if he gets more resources.

Ivan says his goats rearing business will provide jobs for people in his community as youths who rear goats, support in taking them to markets

Backstory

Ivan lives with his wife and 6 children. His wife helps him in taking care of the goats. Ivan says he lives happily with his family and relatives, and he likes his community because of unity among the people. 

Their main challenges include limited access to good water, and thieves in the community.
