About The Project
Joseph Byamungu grows irish potatoes and tomatoes on his plot of land given to him by the government of Uganda. He recently used the funding from CII Project to grow more potatoes since he was able to hire more labor.
He plans to expand his farming by hiring more land for farming. He also recently started fish farming by creating a fish pond and hopes to improve these businesses if he gets further funding
Paying it Forward
Byamungu’s poatao and tomatoes farm provides food to the highly populated Rwamwanja refugee settlement, especially after most refugee Aid agencies like World Food program and others started giving the food aid in cash, which creates a lot of demand for food.
He also believes that his fish farming business will address nutrition needs as fish is scarce and expensive in Rwamwanja
