• Joseph is part of a lumber yard cooperative involving more than 100 families.  He has become proficient in that business and with just a $100 investment in March, was able to double his income by May, in spite of the Covid lockdown.  Joseph's talent is in furniture design and looks to build a shop to produce and sell furniture. He has the skills but needs your investment, that he will pay forward by helping others and creating jobs.

About The Project

$3225 needed to buy necessary machines and equipment to make furniture
$1225 invested by himself/family

Joseph is in the timber business, but dreams of having his own wood shop to produce furniture. With your investment, he'll be able to fulfill his dreams, purchasing a dressing machine, ripping machine and power saws to help him process the wood, then make the furniture. He's very creative and has been in the lumber business for so many years and has always dreamed of expansion, especially owning his own furniture shop. With his expansion, he will employ some of his community members. With the covid-19 pandemic looming, business was very slow. With the opening up of the cities, he will be able to earn more, save more, and eventually open his shop.

...what are your plans for the rest of the year? "to build a wood workshop and produce furniture for sale in the community" says Joseph

Paying it Forward

Joseph has been helping two students with their expenses so they can go to school in Monrovia.  He has also been helping a farmer in Grand bassa and he is community minded.  In May during the worst of the Covid crisis Joseph gave money to a friend, Ruth, to purchase goods that she then resold to support herself and her family.  Joseph will pay your investment forward to others.
