  • This project is about the business of selling shoes that are famously known here in Tanzania as "Yebo". These shoes have had a large following due to their low prices in comparison to other shoes on the market. The money I receive will be directed toward increasing the number of Yebo in my inventory to distribute to areas both within and outside of Mwanza.

About The Project

My plan is to ensure that I increase the supply of Yebo in the markets here in Mwanza. This increase in supply will lead to greater earnings, thus allowing my business to grow. The results of my project have been positive due to my ability to adapt to the rapidly changing environment, and to the current economic situation affecting low income people.



Paying it Forward

The expansion of my project will help create jobs for my fellow youth who will help me with the distribution of Yebo. Additionally, I will also give capital to my peers who are going through similar challenges to mine and seek to lift themselves out of poverty,

Backstory

My name is Sungwa Litina and I am 27 years old. I am a father to one child and I am married. I have been engaged in the sale of Yebo shoes since 2019. Since starting the business, I have managed to pay my wife's dowry and provide for my family. The challenge I am facing is that my capital is small, making it difficult for me to distribute enough shoes to different parts of Mwanza and the city's surrounding areas. If I receive the capital that I need, I will make sure I implement my aforementioned plan so that my project will bring good results and benefit my peers.
