About The Project

Tusabe vestina rears sheep and goats. She bought the sheep from the $100 investment fund given to her by CII Project. She plans to expand this livestock farming by buying more sheep and goats if she receives gets money

She rears the sheep along the conserved wetland in her village is an opportunity as most other plots of land are cultivated with crops.


Paying it Forward

Vestine is a member of women's groups in her village and church and she says is already supporting some poor women by lending money to them or helping in other ways and she would support them to even start their own businesses if her business expanded

Backstory

Vestine Tusabe is a 38 year old single woman who lives with her five children in Rwamwanja where they are refugees from Congo. Besides sheep rearing, Vestine also sells food items from her home and plants maize and beans for family food.

She appreciates that the trading centre where she lives is good for business and is proud that she now lives in her own house yet she used to rent.
