About The Project

Tumaini Bahati had no any source of income at all and when he received $100 investment fund from CII project, he bought two goats that have since produced and multiplied.

He now plans to expand his business by buying more goats if he gets more funding


Paying it Forward

Tumaini says he is close to many youths in his community and now that he is running businesses and transitioning well from a a youths to a responsible family head, many of them are learning from him and if his business expands, he will be a mentor to younger people and share resources and opportunities with them

Backstory

Tumaini Bahati is a 25 year old youths who lives with wife and their one child and his two relatives and they have lived in Rwamwanja for 10 years as refugees from Congo. His wife runs a small business of selling food items and they grow maize and beans for food, and sometimes sell the surplus. 

Tumaini is proud that he has been able to support his siblings to live with him and he has taken them back to school. He is also happy about friends with whom they support each other
