About The Project

Lukengwa rears pigs, they produce and he sells piglets or sells mature pigs for pork. He hopes to improve the care of his pigs by providing them better and more feeds, and increase the number, if he gets more funding 


Paying it Forward

Lukengwa hopes that an expanded piggery project will provided work for his children, market for maize millers and others who sell feeds, affordable piglets to community members and pork 

Backstory

Lukengwa is a 40year old man who is a refugee from Congo and has lived in Rwamwanja for 7 years. He lives with his wife and their 11 children, 8 of whom are in school.

He is happy that CII has enabled him to improve his business and is able to pay his children’s school fees
