About The Project

John Bosco Gumizaho is a businessman who runs a retail shop in which he sells food items like tomatoes, ground nuts flour, irish potatoes, among others. When he received $100 from CII Project, he invested it in his business. John Bosco now plans to expand her business by stocking more goods. He runs this business with his wife and their customers are mostly residents of his trading centre.

He hopes that when the business expands, other retailers will buy from him since he will be able to stock in large quantities from suppliers and that this will enable regular supply because currently most retailers, including him, stock less goods and customers can't find what they need all the time


Paying it Forward

John Bosco thinks his business will provide jobs to boda-boda riders who transport his products and will provide regular supply of food items to residents of his community

Backstory

John Bosco is a Ugandan man who lives with his wife and 3 children and a relative in Mahani, Kamwenge district. Besides the food retail business, John Bosco grows crops for food and sells the surplus. Getting capital to start and maintain or expand a business has been the main challenge but he is happy that CII Project has supported him

He believes his community needs access to financial credit services so that people can get capital for business
