About The Project

$700 is the total investment required for Emmanuel's wood workshop business expansion.
$250 is Emmanuel's existing personal investment pledged for this expansion effort.

When Emmanuel and his wife got a $100 investment from CII they gave $20 to their brother so he could start a business.  The rest they invested in planks, a cutting saw, and a wood plane.  In one month they increased their sales by about 90%.  By July he grew his business by 128%!

The capital raised through here will be used to supplement essential tools for Emmanuel's wood workshop. With better machinery, his goal is to not only increase the quality and design of his furniture but also to expand his product mix. He can do so by purchasing a generator, a sandpaper machine, and another wood plain.  In addition to the growth of his business, Emmanuel's business expansion will also incorporate a woodshop training program for the youth of Grand Bassa County. The return on investment of this opportunity is both profitable in nature with a partial degree of positive social impact!

"I plan to build a carpentry shop - a place where I am able to train more youth while my business grows!" - Emmanuel

Paying it Forward

Over this last year Emmanuel has helped two students in Montserrado county with school fees.  They have also helped others with their businesses.  They are committed to help several other families and will pay any investment forward.
