About The Project

Francine Furaha is a business woman who runs a restaurant in her village trading centre in Rwamwanja where she lives as a refugee from Congo.

In her restaurant, Francine sells tea, snacks, cooked local food. She recently diversified and started selling fresh food items like bananas and irish potatoes, a move she says does not only give her another source of income but it also facilitates the restaurant since she cooks food she buys from suppliers, not retailers who sold to her expensively.

Paying it Forward

Francine hopes that she will employ youths to work in her restaurant when it expands

She also thinks that her restaurant will provide good restaurant services to the community which is currently missing as she says that her restaurant is not up to a good standard

Backstory
